Further Information

Cédric Paternotte completed Masters in Applied Mathematics (2000) and in Cognitive Science (2003), and a PhD in Philosophy (2007) at the University Paris 1-Sorbonne (France). Before becoming a postdoctoral fellow in the MCMP, he has worked in the GREGHEC (CNRS, France) and at the University of Bristol.

Research Interests

Cedric Paternotte’s research interests pertain to the philosophy of groups and sociality in general. More precisely: definitions of cooperation and collective action; rational explanations of cooperation; epistemic aspects of cooperation; collective reasoning; psychological factors of cooperation; group selection and group adaptation; and social epistemology.
