Arthur Merin Memorial Lecture: Wolfgang Spohn (Konstanz)

The MCMP organizes the Arthur Merin Memorial Lecture at May 25. It will be given by

Title: Arthur Merin: A Pioneer in Pragmatics

Arthur Merin died on May 24, 2019 in the age of 67. He was a long time affiliate to the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Munich and in particular to the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy. He was a very broad, most independent and original, extremely prolific scholar in philosophy and linguistics (and other fields), often much ahead of his times. He and his mostly unpublished writings (more than 8000 pages) must not be forgotten. Due to Covid 19, this memorial lecture was deferred several times. We are glad to be finally able to hold it.
