Work group

Emmy Noether research group on New Territories for Modal Logic

Further Information

I am a doctoral student in the Emmy Noether Project New Territories for Modal Logic, supervised by Ivano Ciardelli. I studied for my MA in Logic and Philosophy of Science at the MCMP, LMU Munich. While studying in Munich I also completed a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Oslo. Before coming to Munich, I did a BA in Philosophy and Linguistics at the University of Oslo.

Research Interests

I am interested in conditionals, modals and modality, probability, questions, inquisitive semantics, and related topics in philosophy of language, formal semantics, philosophical logic, and formal epistemology. For my dissertation I have been working on inquisitive modalities. These are modalities which apply to question meanings, unlike more traditional modalities from modal logic and intensional semantics which apply in the first place to (declarative) propositions.

I am also interested in topics in normative ethics and the philosophy of mathematics.
