- CV, Antonutti Marfori Marianna (Dec 2016) (99 KByte)
Marianna Antonutti Marfori obtained her PhD from the University of Bristol in 2009 and since then has held positions as a lecturer at Keele University (2013-2014), as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institut d'Histoire et de Philosophie des Sciences et des Techniques in Paris (2014-2016), and as an affiliated lecturer at the University of Salzburg (2016). From October 2016, she is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the MCMP.
Marianna’s research is in the philosophy of mathematics, with a particular focus on philosophical issues concerning truth and provability in mathematics, and the nature of mathematical knowledge and justification. She works on the relationship between formal provability and absolute or informal provability (i.e. provability not relativised to a given formal system), on the status of mathematical proof within a naturalistic framework, on mathematical rigour, on de re and de dicto knowledge in mathematics, and on the nature of computation.
