Title:

Noncommuting common causes revisited

Abstract:

Noncommuting common causes of quantum correlations violate the law of total probability. On the operationalist interpretation of quantum mechanics, this flaw might be interpreted as a result of the noncommuting common causes being conpiratorial. In this talk, I will argue that this is not the case. Noncommuting common causes violate the law of total probability but they are not conspiratorial.
