Hannes Leitgeb has been awarded the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize 2025

With the award of the prestigious Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize, the DFG is recognizing Hannes Leitgeb's outstanding research in the field of mathematical-analytical philosophy, whose tradition he has “illuminated with important historical studies, expanded with the help of creative ideas and applied to numerous phenomena from philosophy and the cognitive and linguistic sciences”.
The Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize of the German Research Foundation is considered the most important award in German science. The Leibniz Prize has been presented to Hannes at a ceremony in Berlin on March 19, 2025.
