Further Information

My PhD project is part of the MCMP and the graduate school of systemic neurosciences (GSN) at LMU. At the MCMP, my supervisors are Stephan Hartmann and Ulrike Hahn. Previously, I obtained a B.A. in Philosophy & Economics at the university of Bayreuth and the M.A. in Logic & Philosophy of Science at the MCMP.

Research Interests

My PhD project focuses on reasoning and argumentation, in relation to collective decision making. To that end, I use formal modeling tools from Bayesian epistemology, decision theory, and information theory. Furthermore, I am interested in relating these formal models to empirical insights from neuroscience and psychology, in order to obtain a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of human reasoning and decision making, and their potential underlying causes.

Apart from that, I am interested in general philosophy of science, philosophy of economics, social choice theory, and logic.
