Further Information

II am a doctoral fellow at the MCMP under the supervision of Hannes Leitgeb. Before that, I have obtained a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Bonn (with a minor in philosophy), as well as a M.A. in Theoretical Philosophy from LMU Munich. Moreover, I have spent one semester at National Taiwan University studying philosophy and Chinese language.

Research Interests

am working on concepts of existence in analytic philosophy. In particular, I am interested in questions of meaning, quantification and the use of proper names. My research project covers subfields of metaphysics, philosophy of language and logic and is loosely inspired by Wittgensteinian insights. Besides representatives of early analytic philosophy (Frege, Russell and Quine), I am also working on Meinong and Kripke (and their reception). Moreover, I am interested in Aristotle, Kant and Wittgenstein.
