Further Information

I have been working as a doctoral student under the supervision of Prof. DDr. Hannes Leitgeb since October 2018. Before that, I obtained a BA in Art History and Philosophy (2012-16; 1.2) and an MA in Philosophy (2016-18; 1.0), both at LMU Munich. My MA thesis, also supervised by Hannes Leitgeb, dealt with Transcendental Arguments in Contemporary Continental Philosophy. I am planning to complete my dissertation in 2023.

Research Interests

The focus of my research lies on the philosophy of language, specifically on natural language semantics and metasemantics. For my PhD, I am working on the theory of names, attempting to bring together the referentialist and descriptivist sides of the debate (tentative title: Names. Semantics, Pragmatics, Metasemantics). Beyond that, my philosophical interests include various fields, in particular metaphysics, aesthetics/philosophy of art, and the reconstruction and evaluation of theories of continental philosophy with analytic methods.
