After undergraduate studies in philosophy and physics at the University of Chile and University of Santiago respectively, I obtained an MA in philosophy of science at the University of Santiago. I then continued with a MSc in philosophy of science at the London School of Economics. In October 2014, I joined the MCMP in a PhD program, specializing in philosophy of physics supervised by Stephan Hartmann.
My areas of interest are in general philosophy of science (especially problems concerning explanation, reduction and emergence) and in philosophy of physics (mainly foundations of statistical mechanics). My current research focuses on philosophical problems raised by phase transitions.
