Workshop on Topics in Causality and Explanation (23 June 2023)
Idea & Motivation
The topics of causation and explanation continue to receive significant attention in current philosophy of science. Research in these areas has explored topics such as: types of causal distinctions, principles of causal inference, roles of analogies and analogical arguments, evidence for causation, and many other questions regarding the standards of scientific explanation. This workshop explores work in these areas, with attention to cases from a variety of scientific domains.
