Round Table on Acceptance (3 Feb, 2012)

roundtable-header-01

The Bayesianist concept of belief is described by a measure-theoretic and thus quantitative approach to probabilities as changeable degrees of belief, whereas classical epistemology views belief/acceptance as a qualitative notion.

Questions arise from this contrast: How can the two concepts be related? Which bridge principles can be drawn on to accomplish this task?

This public MCMP event was all about bringing the philosophical theories of Hannes Leitgeb and Kevin Kelly/ Hanti Lin (CMU Pittsburgh) to one table (3 Feb, 2012).
